$180,000 Grant for City Schools Announced at The Bash Ball

The Baltimore Area Sports Health Initiatives set the stage for an unforgettable evening on May 10th, 2022, with the inaugural edition of The Bash Ball. Attended by a hundred passionate supporters, this landmark gala aimed to bolster healthcare access for athletes across Baltimore. With over $30,000 raised, the event proved to be a resounding success in advancing sports health services in the region.


The atmosphere at Mosaic Nightclub, buzzed with excitement as representatives from professional sports, healthcare, and politics united under one roof. Executive Director Collin Francis captured the crowd's attention with heartfelt remarks, paying tribute to the dedication of two city school officials present at the event who have worked tirelessly on this project.


The pinnacle of the night arrived with Francis's announcement: The Baltimore Area Sports Health Initiative and City Schools had secured the prestigious $180,000 InnovATe grant from the Korey Stringer Institute. This transformative grant signals a significant leap forward in fortifying healthcare resources for student-athletes in Baltimore, underscoring the unwavering commitment to athlete safety and well-being.
